Yesterday, Rukuriri Tea Factory held a meeting with our 50 tea agents—key partners who ensure that Rukuriri Tea reaches consumers who may not always be able to come directly to the factory.
The meeting began with a warm welcome from Board Chairman, Mr. Joseph Rwanjau and members of management, who appreciated the agents for their commitment.

“Our agents are the link between the factory and our customers. Without you, many households would not enjoy the quality of Rukuriri Tea. We value you greatly,” he said.
Mr. Renson Murimi, our Tea Extension Officer, led the gathering in prayers, setting a hopeful tone for the discussions ahead.
The agenda centered on three important themes:
1️⃣ Challenges faced by agents – Agents shared their experiences, including transport costs, consumer preferences, and market competition. One agent noted,
“Sometimes we face difficulties reaching distant consumers, but the trust people have in Rukuriri Tea keeps us going.”

2️⃣ Areas for improvement – Together, the board and agents explored how communication, support, and distribution can be strengthened to ensure better efficiency and satisfaction for both sellers and consumers.

3️⃣ Planned changes in packaging – The board shared intentions to introduce improved packaging, aimed at maintaining tea freshness while giving the brand a modern, appealing look.
“Better packaging will not only preserve the quality of our tea but also attract new customers who value presentation,” a director explained.

The occasion was marked by open dialogue, shared solutions, and a united vision for growth. As the session closed, the agents expressed their gratitude for being heard and included in shaping the future of Rukuriri Tea.
At Rukuriri Tea Factory, we recognize and celebrate our agents as vital partners in delivering the finest tea to every home. 💚☕
