On the morning of 15th October 2025, the sun rose gently over the green hills of Rukuriri. The air was fresh, and a sense of excitement filled the atmosphere around Rukuriri Tea Factory. It wasn’t just an ordinary day — it was a special day dedicated to the health and well-being of our farmers.

In partnership with Neema Universal Health Care and Majani Insurance, the factory’s Board of Directors and Management had planned a Free Medical Camp, open to all our farmers and community members. Word had spread fast, and by early morning, the compound was already filled with smiling faces, eager hearts, and a shared sense of hope.
The day began with registration and warm greetings. Farmers, both young and old, gathered under the tents, chatting and laughing — happy to be part of something that cared for them beyond tea production. Health professionals from Neema Universal Health Care set up their stations, offering services ranging from medical scans, blood pressure checks, sugar tests, eye and dental care, and other general treatments.

One could see the relief and gratitude in the farmers’ eyes as they received professional care, advice, and medication — many for the first time in months. The atmosphere was filled with compassion and togetherness.

For Rukuriri Tea Factory, this was more than an event — it was a statement of commitment to the people who make the factory thrive. The management emphasized that the health of every farmer is a top priority, because a healthy farmer is a productive farmer.
As the day went on, laughter and conversation blended with the sounds of medical equipment and the aroma of freshly brewed Rukuriri tea. Each farmer left not only with medicine and medical advice but also with a renewed sense of being valued and cared for.
The event ended on a high note, with everyone expressing deep appreciation to Neema Universal Health Care, Majani Insurance, and the Rukuriri Tea Factory team for their vision, love, and dedication.
At Rukuriri, we believe that our success begins with the well-being of our people. That is why our guiding principle remains —
“FARMERS FIRST!”
Together, we grow tea. Together, we grow health. Together, we grow hope
